St Peters Church is part of the BENEFICE OF MONKS ELEIGH WITH CHELSWORTH AND BRENT ELEIGH WITH MILDEN AND KETTLEBASTON

Our Priest-in-Charge is Rev Mike Birt. Rev Mike and his wife joined us almost a year ago and are very much part of the Community. If you have any enquiries or need assistance you can call him on 01449 740623.

St Peters Monks Eleigh is one of 5 Churches in our Benefice. Each of the five Churches takes turns to host the Sunday Holy Communion service which takes place at 10.15am. At St Peters on Wednesdays at 10am there is a Morning Prayer Service.

We have a Benefice Church Choir which sings at all our services and is open to singing at weddings and funerals. The choir members come from all the Churches in the Benefice and they would welcome new members, male and female. Choir Practice takes place on most Tuesdays at 6pm for 40 minutes.

Children are welcome to St Peters. There is a play area set aside for the Children in the Church and we now have activity packs set aside for each age group to keep them occupied and interested during the service. We are hoping to introduce events such as Messy Church and we have a Pet Service every year.

All our leaders undertake regular safe guarding workshops so that we can protect vulnerable children and adults and the Church and all its events can provide a safe space and place for everyone.

St Peters is also open for private prayer as well we welcome the opportunity to pray for anyone regardless of whether they attend Church or not. You will find a Prayer Box at the back of the Church where you can place your prayers.

At present our Church has been closed for refurbishment and we hope it will be open for our our next Sunday Holy Communion service on  Sunday 25th April 2021. We hope St Peters will then be able to be open once again for Private Prayer.

We hope to that when St Peters opens once again our very talented group of bell ringers will be able to ring our bells once more.
